Pingewood (Reading, Berkshire)

An image of Pingewood (Reading, Berkshire)

The venue is Pingewood Flint and there's been an off road circuit here since 1999. A 10-acre site constructed over a former landfill, Pingewood Flint can really throw down the gauntlet with some of the most challenging and extreme terrain you will find in the UK - including steep climbs, drops, gullies and side slopes.

Find the venue at:

Pingewood Flint
Cottage Lane
RG30 3UN

It is easiest to simply look for the Millennium hotel, which is well signposted. From Junction 11 on the M4, follow the A33 towards Basingstoke. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights, right again at the roundabout (towards Pingewood) and then first left (Great Lea). Follow the road over the motorway bridge (you will be on Smallmead Road) then through traffic lights and over a railway bridge (Kirtons Farm Road) before taking your next right into Cottage Lane. You will see a steel gated entrance within 50 meters on your right. Good luck intrepid traveller.

Visitor Info

Parking is more than ample and close to the main entrance. Spectators can view some, though not all, of the course from a viewing area. It's not undercover so dress for the weather. At weekends a catering truck is on site to provide hot and cold food and drinks.Weekday visitors who miss out on the catering truck can take advantage of the nearby Reading Lake Hotel - postcode RG30 3UN. There's also a cafe across the road from the hotel.
