Manoeuvring a double decker bus is easier said than done! You will learn to safely negotiate a pre-designed course with an experienced instructor as your passenger. This large scale driving activity will show you what life is like on the buses! The short wheel base and long overhang takes time to adjust to, but soon you will be manoeuvring confidently into coned garages, circumnavigating roundabouts and pulling out of T-junctions in the vehicle. You will also learn to stop accurately and efficiently at a bus stop! Can you change gear smoothly going down the gears as well as up? It’s easy if you know how to double the clutch. Invite passengers along for the ride!

Group Size: Tuition is shared with 5 other voucher holders.

You will spend 30 minutes at the wheel of the double decker bus.

Louth, Lincolnshire

Participants must be fit and able bodied to take part in this experience. The maximum weight is 18st (114kg). The maximum height is 6ft 4" (1.93m) and the minimum height is 5ft 2" (1.57m).
The minimum age is 17 years.
A full valid UK or European driving licence must be brought with the participant and shown on the day.

This experience is available throughout the year on selected weekdays and weekends.

We recommend planning 3 to 4 weeks in advance. However, availability varies through the year depending on demand.

You are welcome to bring up to two spectators with you, who can ride in the bus with you.

You will receive a presentation voucher pack containing a voucher (valid for 9 months from date of purchase), background reading on the Double Decker Bus Driving and details of how to book a date.

Public Liability insurance for £10m is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance for up to £50,000. Details are enclosed within the voucher pack.

In the event of your activity being cancelled a new date will be arranged.
