Hawk Experience Half Day - £85
During this half day introduction to falconry you will experience the thrill of handling these magnificent birds of prey. After arrival and registration you will move out to the countryside to fly the hawks in their natural environment, returning to the centre at about 4.30pm where the falconers will answer any questions you may have about the birds and the ancient sport of falconry.
Kent and Nottinghamshire.
As this activity will be mostly outdoors, we suggest you wear comfortable outdoor clothing suitable for the weather conditions and a pair of strong walking boots or wellingtons if possible.
You should allow approximately 4 hours for this experience.
The activity takes place all year round but spring, autumn and winter are ideal seasons for falconry as the temperatures are perfect for the birds in these months. We recommend that you book at least 4 weeks in advance.
Minimum age for Falconry course is 14 years at Kent and 16 years at Nottingham.
No dogs are allowed at the centre.
If the weather is cause for cancellation then an alternative date will be offered to you.
Spectators are welcome but there may be a charge depending on location.
Kent - 1 spectator per voucher holder is permitted at a cost of £30
Nottingham - A maximum of 1 spectator is welcome at a charge of £30 (spectators under 10 years old go free)
Wheelchair access and facilities for the disabled are available at Kent.
There will be walking over rough terrain so reasonable fitness is required.
