This authentic tank driving day gives you the chance to live out your childhood dreams and steer 17 tons of hardened steel! An experienced instructor will tutor you in tank driving techniques, and when you’re comfortable piloting the tracked beast you’ll drive across to the obstacle course, with tank hatches open so you can look outside to see where you're steering this magnificent machine. If you are feeling really confident you can then try driving the FV432 tank with the hatches closed and the periscope as your only view. An adrenaline-fuelled thrill!

You are greeted at the course by your tank driving instructor before receiving a safety briefing and tutoring on the tank and how to use its controls. Then pilot the vehicle on flat ground to gain confidence before driving the tank over a challenging World War II bombing range, an obstacle course that's a real test of skill and stamina! You can then repeat the obstacle course under "battlefield conditions", with the hatches down and just the periscope to guide you around! The entire tank driving experience will last for around 45 minutes.

Leicestershire (Midlands)

Customers purchasing this activity will receive a voucher for one person valid for ten months and may then contact the supplier to book a time and date for their experience. This activity operates from April to October on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Additional passengers are permitted at an extra cost of £10 each, which is subject to availability and payable upon booking. Participants do not need to hold a driving licence. The maximum weight is 140kg / 22 stone and the maximum height is 193cm / 6ft 4". The minimum age for participants is 16 years old. No one will be permitted to participate if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This experience and the vehicles described are subject to availability.
