What does the activity include ?

Microlighting is a sensational aviation activity that continues to grow in popularity; perhaps because soaring in one of these light and manoeuvrable aircraft is so closest you'll get to flying like a bird. The instructors are governed by the CAA and are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about microlighting, ensuring you get the most from your microlight experience as you fly over the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.

You are greeted at the airfield and briefed on microlight flying principles before getting close to the microlight to be shown the dashboard and flight controls. Then your pilot instructor takes off for your one hour flight of a lifetime! You will take the controls and pilot the craft, using the flight manoeuvres your instructor taught you. After landing safely back on the ground you will receive a certificate of achievement as a memento of this fantastic experience.

What else do I need to know ?

On purchasing this experience you will be sent a voucher for one person valid for 10 months and may then use the booking information provided to call the flying school to book a lesson. The maximum weight to participate is 14 stone and the minimum age for flying is 14 years old, with anyone aged under 18 years being accompanied by a parent or guardian. Previous experience is not required. Flight time will be 60 minutes. This activity is subject to availability and weather conditions on the day, therefore customers are advised to call the flying school on the morning of the lesson to check the conditions are suitable for flying.
