This is an amazing opportunity for a train enthusiast to experience a 21 mile long track from a unique perspective. You will travel in the driver's cab of a Diesel Mechanical Multiple Unit (DMMU) with qualified train driver at the controls, who will happily any technical or historical questions you have about the heritage diesel train, the Kent line and locomotive operation. You will have a first hand driver’s-eye-view of the signals, points and classic stations along the track. A unique train experience that's the ideal gift for a train lover!

Your heritage diesel train cab ride begins at Tenterden Station. Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the train driver and shown to the train cab from which you will be enjoying your experience. The driver will answer any questions you have during the journey about the diesel train, for example the operation and controls of the locomotive and the rail line. The experience will last around 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Kent (South East)

This diesel train gift voucher is for one person and valid for 10 months. This experience runs on selected dates from March to October. You must be at least 18 years old, reasonably fit and healthy and not on any medication to take part. Participants aged over 70 years must have a doctor’s note in order to participate. Please note, you do have the opportunity to drive the diesel train with this experience.
