Be Prepared For Bungee Jumping Abroad!
A staggering 20 per cent of travellers over the age of fifty five have a go at extreme sports and activities whilst on holiday abroad such as bungee jumping. The sport has been popular for many years among adrenaline hungry youths, but the growing interest from an older age group is causing concern from insurance companies. Judging by the statistics, almost two-thirds of the over-55 age group fail to take out insurance that would cover them in the event of an injury whilst participating in extreme sports. One in five of this group then go on to file a claim for injury whilst abroad. These statistics suggest that younger generations anticipate that they will be taking part in activities that could potentially cause injury, whereas the older age group participate in such activities on a more of a ’spur of the moment’ basis. The conclusion is that sports such as bungee jumping are more tempting than ever, so make sure you’re insured for all eventualities, because it is difficult to resist the temptation of an adrenaline rush, not matter what your age!
