Take a trip back in time as you fly in the open cockpit of a vintage bi-plane in this extraordinary experience. This is as nostalgic as it gets; actually sitting in history and being part of the action as you soar into the skies and let the countryside just fly by. This is an experience you do not want to miss!
Flying with a pilot, you will be taught the controls and have a demonstration of them while up there, to really hit home how things work. After a thorough explanation, and the manoeuvres to support the theory, you will be handed the controls for a truly awesome hands-on experience. You will be in control of a 1930s plane as you spin and loop, climb and descend; rising above the clouds and feeling the breeze.
When you arrive at the aerodrome, you’ll be greeted by your pilot who will give you a full pre-flight briefing on safety as well as a rundown of the plane and its controls. You’ll be kitted out in a very traditional outfit of leather flying jacket (subject to availability) and goggles, and if you really want to look the part you can bring your own scarf!
The flight itself lasts for 20-25 minutes but you should allow approximately one hour for this experience.
