What Your Experience Includes
30 min Tiger Moth / Vintage Aircraft Flights:
The de Havilland Tiger Moth is one of the world's most famous training aircraft. During the Second World War it provided the majority of RAF pilots with their elementary flying training.
In the 1950's the British Government sold off surplus Tiger Moths and their parts at rock-bottom prices - £50 for a flyable Tiger Moth, £5 for an engine.
Nowadays Tiger Moths are costing thousands of Pounds to maintain and every year the opportunity to fly these living legends continues to slip away, as flying clubs struggle to afford their upkeep.
Now is an opportunity to spend a brief period living the life of those brave RAF pilots, who trained on Tiger Moths and went on to fly Spitfires and Hurricanes.
Includes:-
- 30 minute Trial Lesson or pleasure flight in a DH82A de Havilland Tiger Moth
- Briefings
- Optional Aerobatics
- Tea/Coffee at Most Venues
- Signed Flight Certificate on Completion
- Spectators are welcome and may take photographs.
NOTE: At Manston and Romford the aircraft used is a Boeing Stearman which was the US Army Air Corps equivalent to the Tiger Moth used by the RAF.

How long does it last ?
The flight itself lasts for 30 minutes but you should allow approximately one hour for this experience.

Restrictions
Minimum age 12 years.
Maximum height 6 foot 4 ins.
Maximum weight 101kg / 16 stone.
There are no specific medical requirements but the flight is exciting and exhilarating. If in doubt please ask your doctors opinion.
Flights operate March to November.

Public Liability Insurance is included for this experience.
As aviation requires good weather conditions, flights are subject to cancellation at short notice.
Consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden from all events.
Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be excluded from activities
