Enjoy this fun and challenging experience driving an Abbott or Chieftain tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier, six-wheeled Stalwart or other awesome miltary vehicles (depending on location) - this is definitely one for the boys!

Enjoy an action packed half day in charge of the tank of your choice recreating the conflict scenes made familiar from news bulletins. Choose from a variety of impressive vehicles built for the battlefield including the 55-ton Chieftain tank (depending on location). Take advantage of a session like no other, taking control of these great vehicles just like those involved in Afghanistan or Iraq.

After a briefing and introduction from an experienced military expert it's your turn to take control as you step inside the dark quietness of a tank. As the hatch closes you are on your own, guiding your tank through a demanding assault course that replicates the dangers of the battlefield. If the Chieftain isn't your thing you can pick from an armored personnel carrier, snowcat or whatever vehicle meets your needs.

With three demanding courses across the country replicating military conditions you won't be short of choices for your own personal challenge. These courses aren't for the faint hearted, the full glory of the battlefield is replicated in front of you with only your nerve and instinct to steer you to safety against a background where danger is all around.

Following a safety briefing and training you'll enjoy hands on driving of up to four military vehicles (depending on location).

Bristol
Armoured Personnel Carrier, Ferret Scout Car, Abbot SPG, Snowcat or Stalwart.

Russian Armoured BRDM, Bedford MJ 4X4 Troop Carrier, FV432 Armoured Personnel Carrier and BV 206 Hagglunds All Terrain Vehicle.
Please allow around 2-3 hours at the venue.

Notes and Restrictions

Min Age: 18 years - Bristol, 17 years - Leicester, 16 years - Hampshire. Consent of a parent or guardian is required for under 18’s.
Min Height: 4'8"- 5’ (142 - 152cms), Max Height: 6'4”(193cms)
Max Weight: 18 stone (114kg)
Fitness/medical: You must be in reasonable health and be agile enough to climb onto the vehicles which are high and difficult to access.
A full, valid UK/European driving licence is required.
This is a seasonal activity - winter closure may apply
Dress for wet, muddy and dusty conditions. Sturdy, weatherproof flat shoes and casual clothing suitable for the weather conditions are recommended.
Includes £50,000 of PA cover and cancellation insurance.
Restrictions, equipment and experience content varies between the venues.

"My very own action man"

This was a probably the best present I've ever bought my husband and I think I'll struggle to ever top it. Although it was only half a day, he certainly had plenty of time to drive a massive tank and armoured vehicle around an impressive course. He said that the instructor was "spot on" giving him great encouragement and valuable tips along the way. I wasn't sure if I'd get a bit bored and cold tagging along, but I was made to feel so welcome and there was a place to sit and have a drink and bite to eat.

Is there an upper age limit ? My brother is 70 this year and we thought this would be a very good gift for him.

There is no upper age limit. As long as your brother is in reasonable health and agile enough to climb onto the vehicles he would be able to participate in this experience.
