Heavy duty vehicles, heavy duty fun! There are few more amazing sensations than driving a heavy-duty, military vehicle! With so many tonnes of steel at your command, a pair of levers to steer and a helmet on your head, you will feel just like a veteran tank corps commander - even if you don't drive like one at first! |
What Your Experience Includes
After registration you will be transported to the driving area by military vehicle. There will be pre instruction and safety briefing on military vehicle driving before the action begins. Depending on your chosen location, you will be driving some of the following selection: an Armoured Personnel Carrier, a Chieftain Main Battle Tank, an Abbot Tank, 250cc Honda Quad Bikes, Stalwart 6 Wheel Drive, Snowcat, Sultan command vehicle, an American Humvee, a Pinzgauer 6 wheel drive all terrain troop carrier, a Bedford MJ 4x4 truck or a 4x4 Land Rover. You will usually spend approximately 10 minutes in each vehicle driving over rough terrain. Programmes, timings and vehicles will vary slightly depending on the location.
Group Size: They'll be a maximum of 19 other people in the group.

How long does it last ?
Your heavy duty experience will last for about 3 to 4 hours.

Restrictions
To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old, maximum age is 75 years.
The minimum height 1.42m (4ft 8), the maximum height is 1.98m (6ft 6). The maximum weight is 102kg (16 stone). You'll need a degree of flexibility, as some of the vehicles are tricky to get into.
You don't need any experience to enjoy this activity.

Are spectators allowed ?
You may be able to take spectators along with you to watch depending on the chosen venue. Some sites do charge a spectator fee on the day.

Public Liability insurance for £10m is included, along
with Personal Accident Insurance for up to £50,000. Details
are enclosed within the voucher pack.
