What does the activity include ?
Pulled by fabulous vintage steam engines, the Cathedral Express offers passengers a charming and civilised steam train journey from bygone years. The gentle rhythm of the piston-driven wheels as they take you to your destination will relax you, and the train's courteous staff are dedicated to making your steam train journey special. This trip is also the ideal way to visit one of England's beautiful Cathedral cities, with a choice of destinations for you to explore. A souvenir DVD of the experience is also included.

This is experience is for weekday travel to selected destinations. Destinations may vary but include Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Canterbury and Salisbury. Only passengers joining the train at Salisbury may travel to Bristol or Bath. Also only passengers joining at Cambridge may travel to Norwich. The majority of trains depart from a London station early to mid morning and return in the evening, ensuring you have plenty of time to explore your chosen cathedral city. The trains go to different destinations on different dates throughout the year. We strongly advise customers to book early for a good selection of dates to be available when you come to redeem your voucher.

What else do I need to know ?
Your voucher is valid for 10 months and is for two people to travel on a weekday. Please follow the instructions provided with the voucher to make your booking. Please be aware that due to the exclusive nature of this experience, availability is limited and we advise customers to book a date for their experience early to avoid disappointment. We recommend having more than one destination in mind when booking as some locations have limited departures dates. Please note that although food is not included with this package, the trains do offer a buffet service selling drinks and snacks, and also have a licensed bar. You will receive a souvenir DVD on the day of your journey. The operator reserves the right to vary the locomotives during the year and for operational reasons may be required to change locomotives at short notice. This package does not include special steam train trips, for example the Christmas shopping or carol specials. Tickets will be mailed to you five to seven days before your departure.
