What does the activity include ?
Sit back and experience the golden age of steam train travel. Pulled by stunning vintage steam engines, the Cathedral Express offers its passengers a relaxed and civilised train journey of bygone years. With a choice of beautiful Cathedrals cities to choose from as your destination, this is the perfect way to explore an historic English city whilst discovering the joys of travelling by steam train. Passengers will also receive a souvenir DVD on the day of their experience. 

Destinations will vary, but have historically included Bath, Bristol, Cambridge, Canterbury, Chichester, Exeter, Ely, Gloucester, Norwich, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Weymouth. The operator may be able to to offer additional destinations when you make your booking. The majority of trains depart from a London station early to mid morning, and return in the evening to allow you plenty of time to explore your chosen Cathedral city. On different days of the week, the trains go to different destinations. The supplier will provide you with their yearly schedule upon request.

Trains depart from London stations to destinations across the South of England.

What else do I need to know ?
Customers purchasing this experience will receive a voucher for one person valid for 10 months. Please follow the instructions included with the voucher to make your booking. It is advised that you book early as dates are limited. Please note that although food is not included with this package, the trains offer a buffet service selling drinks and snacks, and also have a licensed bar. You will receive a souvenir DVD on the day of your experience. The supplier reserves the right to vary the locomotives during the year, and for operational reasons they may be required to change locomotives at short notice. Please note that this experience does not include special events, such as the Christmas Shopping or Carol Specials journeys. Tickets will be posted to you five to seven days before your departure.
