Full Day Sea Fishing for One - £49

Spend a full day on the seas and learn to fish for Cod, Bass, Ray and others. You’ll be taken out into the Bristol Channel in a fishing boat by your experienced skipper, drop anchor and be issued with your rod. After this exhilarating and informative day of sea fishing fun you’ll also get to take home anything you catch!

 

What Your Experience Includes
Sea Fishing is a liberating experience and full of excitement as you catch cod, bass, ray, congers and smoothhounds. The stunning water of the Bristol Channel will be your host as you learning fishing techniques and tricks from an expert skipper. At the end of the day you take your plunder home.

Arrival is at Penarth Marina in the morning. Your skipper will greet you and take you aboard the fishing boat ‘Chara’. Your group will take a safety briefing from the skipper then depart from the marina. After an hour’s sailing out into the Bristol Channel, skipper will select a good fishing spot and drop anchor. You’ll be given your rod, reel and bait, then your captain will demonstrate how to bait up and cast. No prior fishing experience is necessary, and the skipper is available for help and fishing advice all day. Snacks are served around midday, but you might like to bring a packed lunch to enjoy out on the water. The day includes about 6 hours fishing, so you’ll have plenty of time to learn fishing techniques and catch the creatures. Photos will be taken of your catch which will be posted on the supplier website as well as being emailed to you. There will be a competition on board the fishing boat and some top prizes are on offer for the best catches of the day!

• Minimum age: 16 to take part without an adult, with under 16s being accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.
• Under 18s require consent from a parent or guardian.
• If you have any illness or disability that may prevent you from taking part in the experience please discuss this with the centre prior to making your booking.
• There is no wheelchair access on the boat.
• This experience is unsuitable for spectators.
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary. Please check with the venue when booking.
• Arrival time will be confirmed by the supplier at the time of booking, although please note that arrival will be early morning.
• Please note that facilities on board the boat are basic.
