Air Sphereing is the latest version of the world’s most bizarre extreme sport. The two of you are strapped in together in an eight-foot ball and blown into mid-air by the Airfix 150mph Wind Tunnel. It’s the thrill ride of a lifetime, and a great gift.

 

What does the activity include ?
Sphereing usually involves rolling down steep hills in an inflated ball. This unique play on the experience puts you and your friend in an eight-foot Air-Sphere® which is lifted off the ground and then hurtled down the Airkix 150mph Wind Tunnel. Bounce, spin and roll around towards your final destination in complete safety (you are harnessed in) while you watch your partner enjoy the ride of their life.

When you buy your voucher you will be given a report time. Arrive no later than the report time given. When you arrive you will get a briefing and instructions. The two co-riders then enter the inflatable Sphere together, are harnessed in and prepare for take-off. As the Sphere is lifted off the ground by the 150mph airflow, you and your friend will share the adrenalin-fuelled world of Air-Sphereing®. Expect to be on-site for approximately 1 hour and to have your mind blown.

What else do I need to know ?
On buying this experience you will be posted a voucher valid for ten months. You are then free to contact the venue to book a date for your Air Sphereing. This voucher entitles 2 people to one ride in the same Sphere (Or the voucher can be used for 1 person on a solo ride). Maximum weight: 18 stone per rider. You must be 10 years old and in good health to Sphere, and over 13 years of age to Sphere solo. A statement of risk needs to be completed by all Spherers. A parent or guardian must sign the statement of risk on the day if the rider is under 18. This experience is not suitable if you are pregnant or have a history of heart, back or neck problems, wearing a hard plaster cast or have ever dislocated your shoulder. Check with your doctor first. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. All necessary equipment is provided. Casual clothes such as a t-shirt and lace-up trainers are mandatory. The Airkix Wind Tunnel has a FREE viewing gallery and spectators are welcomed. Pushchairs are permitted into the building, but regrettably not in the viewing gallery itself.
