In this two day training that ends with you leaping from an aeroplane at 3,000ft you’ll learn everything you need to complete your first successful parachute jump. You’ll jump on a static line, your parachute will open automatically, then you steer yourself through the air to the landing zone on the ground. Simple, right?
What Your Experience Includes
Jump from a plane at 3,000 feet and feel the unique exhilaration that parachute jumping offers! This is a very challenging sport and you’ll leave feeling pleased with yourself. Supervised by expert British Parachuting Association instructors, the training is intensive and rigorous so you’ll have to be fit. After flying up to the right altitude you will jump into the open air from the door of the plane on a static line so your parachute will open automatically. Your steerable parachute is then yours to control as you make your graceful and breathtaking descent.
Usually running over 2 days the intensive parachuting and landing training takes place as part of a group. You will be signed up as a provisional member of the British Parachute Association and kitted out with the proper equipment. The first day consists of ground training including practical jump technique and parachute theory. The 3,000 feet static-line jump usually takes place on the second day. You may stay overnight. Most parachuting clubs offer basic and inexpensive accommodation at an additional cost. Please enquire about this when you book your jump.
