I recently had some trouble where my order was confirmed twice, so i rang the customer help desk, where a lady named Michelle was extremely helpful, and sorted out the problem immediately, meaning I did not get charged for both. If you've ever fancied yourself as a trucker out on the open road then this juggernaut driving experience will give you a good taste of life behind the wheel.
Lorries are not synonymous with speed or racing or even track days really, but then this is something unique and special. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to drive such a juggernaut of the road then this experience will give you a great insight into life behind the wheel.
A “monster of the road” is not what you’d usually get the chance to drive, but in this unforgettable day you will get to experience what a lorry driver feels in terms of handling, braking, acceleration, the manoeuvring of such incredible size and weight as you take sharp bends and tight corners.
The session is in a 430bhp articulated lorry, with a 40ft box trailer on the back. You will be driving along tarmac roads and tackling roundabouts and junctions. The course begins with a vital introduction and briefing; the capabilities of the lorry, the controls, the driving theory involved in using a splitter gearbox, as well as the physics of reversing with a large trailer.
It’s not an easy experience, especially with the complicated four over four splitter gearbox, not to mention the tough skill of reversing, but it is a lot of fun regardless of skill.

"I want to drive a lorry again!" I have always wanted to drive a truck but had never had the opportunity. This experience was fantastic. I didn’t have to spend all the time and money required on getting a licence before doing the experience and I really got a taster of what’s it’s like to get behind the wheel. There was another person doing the experience at the same time as me and he was just as excited about having a go. Sharing the experience was great, I think it was better than doing it alone. I was a bit worried about before I got there but the man I did it with was a right laugh. I’m seriously thinking about a chance in career and becoming a truck driver - a great day out!
