Calling all petrol heads! Test your driving potential and push your limits in a race to the finish in the Star in a Car Driving Experience.

Fancy yourself as the next Michael Schumacher? Try burning rubber as you race around an expert race track in a unique beast while the clock ticks. Don’t lose control, as each competitor is given the chance of winning a £1,000 for the fastest driver of the year.

You will receive a full briefing by one of the ‘Speed Master’ instructors before they take you on four familiarisation laps, giving you hot tips on skills and techniques to improve your time and potential. After two practice laps, report to the start line where you will race for 2 Hot Lap sessions, giving you the opportunity to try out those new skills. But be sure to push the pedal to the floor as each lap is timed to 1/100th of a second and measured against our leader board.

Fasten your seatbelt as one of our cameras records every power slide, wheel spin and sizzling skill; photos are available for purchase at the end of your race against time. After a debriefing, you will discover if you have guzzled petrol like a pro or been left in a dust cloud at the road side clutching on to your commemorative certificate.

Midlands: Staffordshire (Lichfield)

• Vouchers are valid for one person, for ten months.
• This experience includes 2 practice laps followed by 2 laps against the clock.
• 5 fastest drivers by 30/11/11 will be invited back to compete for a £1,000 prize.
• Drivers must be 17 years old minimum, hold a full driving licence and be in reasonable health.
• Sensible shoes and warm clothing should be worn.
• Max. weight 20 stone.
• Your experience will be re-arranged if bad weather means it cannot run on the day.
• This experience runs on selected weekdays and weekends.
