Your co-ordination and reflexes will be tested to the maximum as you learn the advanced driving techniques to combat oversteer and understeer in a simulated loss-of-control driving situation. An indemnity form usually needs to be signed on arrival which will require parental or guardian signature for under 18 year olds. Your skid control training session is usually shared with other drivers on the day. You will be given an introductory briefing, followed by detailed car and control training from a qualified instructor. Then burn some rubber with the hands-on skidding car experience. Usually 3 participants per car, taking turns to drive in skid situations. Basic instruction on control, use of throttle, prevention of weight transfer, oversteer, understeer and braking.
