Re-live the famous Dam Busters raid over 60 years after this historic event took place as you follow 617 Squadron's training route over the twin dams and through the Derwent Valley. An amazing helicopter flight to remember forever!

Enjoy a 30 minute flight in a Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter along the Derwent Valley training route used by 617 Squadron, the Dambusters, taking in the beautiful countryside along the way.

A thrilling flight for history buffs is the Dam Busters Helicopter Sightseeing Ride Experience. Relive the top secret mission of the Dambusters raid over 60 years on!

In 1943, training for a top secret mission was carried out by the Lancaster crews of the 617 Squadron. In order to complete the Dambusters raid on the Ruhr Valley, Germany mission, the Squadron began training along the Derwent Valley, surrounded by the Derbyshire countryside.

This location, West of Sheffield, will delight not only for the history but also the breath-taking countryside that surrounds the famous base. As you soar over green pastures and deep reservoirs, you can enjoy famous landmarks and top information on this momentous period.

Your mission, should you choose to accept, will take you back down the famous route and over the twin dams in a unique Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter. Focus on seeking your targets and realise the difficulty as you fly over a number of reservoirs. This 30-minute journey back in time will show you what it truly was like to be a squadron member!

Please allow up to 1 hour for this experience. The flight will last approximately 30 minutes.
