Spend a day afloat on the Solent in a more traditional form of vessel than what you might expect to see these days. On board you will be treated to an enjoyable day that will be remembered for a long time.

There are few more beautiful sights on the seas than a tall ship in full sail, and now you can experience what it is like to be part of the crew on one of these magnificent vessels thanks to this Full Day experience aboard the mighty Tenacious.

This magnificent three-mast barque is 64 feet long, with the tallest mast measuring 30 feet, and it sails as beautifully as it looks. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the crew, given a short briefing and some refreshments before climbing aboard the Tenacious.

Once aboard, you will head out into the Solent, where you can opt to spend your day doing as much, or as little, as you prefer. If you want to muck in with the crew and help with many of the deck chores, you can under their expert guidance, while others, who prefer to relax, sit back and enjoy the view and the magnificent ship, can do so.

With lunch and afternoon tea provided aboard the vessel, this is a full days sailing, lasting approximately from 08:30 until 17:00.

Spend the day aboard Tenacious, a 3 mast barque which is 64ft long with a 30ft mast.
You day will begin with a welcome talk and refreshments before heading to the Solent.
During your time at sea you can really get stuck in helping the crew or just relax on deck and enjoy the view.
A buffet lunch and afternoon tea will be served on board.
Your day will run from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Notes and Restrictions

Voucher valid for 10 months.
Available selected Saturday and Sunday dates from May - August.
Min age - 12 years (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).
Wheelchair users can be accommodated, as well as all physical disabilities (please inform supplier if you have mobility problems).
Max weight if in a wheelchair is 15 stone.
Please dress warmly, wear flat-soled shoes (e.g. deck shoes or trainers) and bring lipbalm, sunblock and a waterproof jacket.
Everyone must be on board by 08.45 am.

"A dream come true"

I’ve always loved tall ships, more to look at than anything, but when my wife told me about this experience I needed no encouragement to give it a go. The booking process was easy and the day itself couldn’t have been better. The whole thing seemed to be over in a flash but I have some great memories and great photos to remind me of my time on board. I have even kept in touch with some of my fellow shipmates!
