During this day of introducing you to the world of sailing you will learn the essentials of how to guide a boat across the waves at a choice of beautiful locations around the UK. Learn to harness the wind to take you gliding over the surf in an enjoyable and educational day of sea-faring adventure. A marvellous gift!

It is all hands on deck in this full day of sailing fun! If you have dreamt of soaring through the open seas as the waves crash around you, then look no further!

Upon arrival, you will be kitted out in full safety clothing and buoyancy aids before a safety briefing and outline of the sailing course is given. Each crew member will then take their place before you are taken out into the ocean for a demonstration by an experienced seaman.

Learn basic skills, progressing to more advanced technique as your adventure day unfolds, all under the guidance of an experienced instructor. As you cruise along in your given yacht or dingy, you will learn theoretical knowledge such as the points of sail, the gybe and the rules of the waves, just like a true sailor!

Then you take to the wheel as you guide your boat across the waves, putting your new knowledge into practice. Build on skill, stamina, confidence and put those sea legs to the test in this day at sea. Learn how the pros do it in this full day of sailing fun, as you skim waves and tear through the ocean.

Voucher valid for 9 months for one person.
Spend an entire day sailing in either a yacht or dinghy.
An RYA instructor will give you demos before letting you have a go.
You will be taught both the basics and more advanced skills needed for sailing.

Notes and Restrictions

You will be given your safety and buoyancy equipment.
Gain some hands on experience in either a yacht or dinghy with training from an RYA instructor.
Expect this experience to last a full day.

Voucher valid for 9 months.
Max weight - 18 stones, Min age - 12 years old (under 18's need consent from parent/guardian).
Spectators are welcome but can only watch from the shore.
You must be in reasonable health and agile enough to move around the vessel.
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue.
