During this day of introducing you to the world of sailing you will learn the essentials of how to guide a boat across the waves at a choice of beautiful locations around the UK. What Your Experience Includes
If you dream of harnessing nature’s boundless resources and cutting across the open ocean with the wind at your back this full day experience is ideal. You will learn the basics and more advanced skills of sailing in this day course with qualified sailing instructors to teach you essential skills aboard a yacht or dinghy. You'll learn points of sail, the gybe and the rules of the waves. Step into a boat and see how it’s done first-hand.

On arrival at the site you are issued with safety clothing and buoyancy aids. A safety briefing and outline of the sailing course are followed by taking your place on the boat. The craft will be taken out onto the sea for a demonstration by the instructor. Then you take control for the sailing experience of a lifetime. You will gain in skill, stamina and confidence as you learn to steer the boat over the waves in a day of excitement and adventure!

Restrictions

• The Maximum weight is 18 stones (115kgs).
• Spectators are usually welcome but can only view from the shore.
• Minimum age: 12 (Under 18’s need parent/guardian consent).
• Participants should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb around the vessel.
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue.
