Inshore Powerboat Racing - £259

A fantastic opportunity to enjoy the world's most glamorous watersport. Race catamarans, hydroplanes and single seater monohulls during this full day of water-based excitement! . Nothing else gives you such a feeling of mastery over the water.

 

What Your Experience Includes
Receive expert tution on driving three kinds of single seater race boats - monohulls, hydroplanes and catamarans. They are all single seaters with no radio control to the bank. Registration for the day, along with tea and coffee, begins at 9:00, followed by an official welcome, briefing and introduction to the sport at 9:30. From 10:00 to 11:00 you will receive an introduction to the boats being used and enjoy some practice driving until a buffet lunch is served at 1:00pm. After lunch at 2:00 you will take part in practical race training until 5:00pm. The day finishes with afternoon tea and certificate presentation, you will also receive a memento of the day. Throughout the experience participants are likely to drive over 20 laps of just under a mile in length each. You will share this experience with a maximum of 18 other participants.

Restrictions
Participants need to be reasonably fit and able to climb in and out of the boats unaided. The maximum weight for participants is 18 stone (114kg); the minimum height is 5ft 2" (1.57m) and the maximum height is 6ft 2" (1.87m). The maximum girth size is 142cm (56")
Minimum age is 14 years; parental consent is required for under 18's. The maximum age is 70 years.
There is a strict policy to nil tolerance to drugs and alcohol. Participants will be asked to sign a disclaimer as to whether you are fit to undertake the activity.

Public Liability insurance for £10m is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance for up to £50,000. Details are enclosed within the voucher pack.
