Details of the speed experiences

The Ferrari and Mini Experience at Goodwood is sure to get the racing enthusiasts chomping at the bit. Drive a Ferrari around the famous Goodwood track, and then sit in with a professional as they zoom around in the Mini Cooper. The driving experience is great value as the price includes a safety brief and then three laps in the Ferrari. Then it's time to buckle up and breathe in as a professional driver takes you on a hair raising white-knuckle ride in a Mini Cooper S. You'll be provided with tea and coffee when you arrive, and a certificate is yours at the end of the day, not that you'll need reminding about the experience.

To take part in this dual driving experience you will need a full driving licence with you and must be aged 19 or over. The maximum weight for this experience is 18 stone, and you must be no taller than 6'6". Spectators are also permitted at this event.

The Mini Adventure at Goodwood is a fun-packed day that you'll never forget. Upon arrival at the race track you'll be given a briefing and then an instructor will ride you around the track, twice. You'll be told where the places to brake are and shown the racing lines. Then it really gets going! You're on your own, with four full laps of the famous circuit at high speeds, and if that wasn't enough…

When you're done trying to push the car to its limits, you'll be shown how to do it properly as you sit in with a professional driver. Hold on tight, though, as the speed needs to be experienced to be believed. If you're still game for a bit more action after that, you can have some. The Kart Track provides some more fun racing. That isn't the end of the day, though; there's still the skid pan experience left. Climb into the mini and buckle up! Then you'll be off again skidding through oil and water. After all that you'll understand why the experience is called an adventure. It really is a day to remember.

The driving experience of your life is available on all weekdays except Mondays and a full manual driving licence is required to take part. Again, the maximum weight is 18 stone and drivers should wear long sleeve tops and trousers. Trainers should also be worn.

Which driving experience is for you?

The experience you choose all depends on how much bottle you have and your experience as a driver. But with prices starting from under £100, you'll be able to choose something that meets your need for speed.

Restrictions

All the driving experiences have slightly different restrictions, but all drivers should be under 18 stone. Height restrictions apply and a full manual driving licence is required for all experiences. Safety equipment and clothing is provided at all events, when needed, and sensible clothing (long sleeve tops, trousers and trainers) should be worn to all events.

What happens before you can drive?

Driving licences will be checked, you'll be kitted up with the safety equipment and clothing, and a short brief will be given. Depending on the driving day chosen, you may get to be a passenger for a practice lap to show you the racing lines, and braking points. Then you can climb into the car, and put the pedal to the metal.

What happens at the end of the driving experience?

You will have experienced a rush of blood to the head, and you may well get the bug. Your thirst for the thrill of racing around a well-known racing circuit will have been well and truly quenched.
