I have recently bought a voucher for my mother as a birthday gift. I was so unsure what to buy for her but thought of an experience gift. I did a google search, found your website and booked. It was so easy to do, very little fuss and I did think that as I was booking so late I would be late giving the gift to my mum on her birthday, how wrong I was. It was on my hall mat in less than 2 days! Thank you for an easy to understand website, easy booking process and quick delivery service. I hoping that my mum has an excellent day too!

This cowboy themed day of riding will give you a taste of the Old West and the beautiful New Forest National Park from atop your trusty steed. You’ll be Yee-Ha-ing with the best of them by the end of this day of adventures.

Fancy yourself as a cowboy or cowgirl? This Western Adventure Riding Day provides a blast of nostalgia and a taste of the Old West... courtesy of the New Forest National Park. Okay, so it’s not the American plains, but you will have a trusty steed and you can ‘yee-ha’ should you wish.

With this adventure day you will ride alongside fellow compadres as you’re brought up to speed with how to ride and how to prepare your horse, before being led off into the New Forest to explore the trails. Accompanied by experienced trail leaders, you’ll seek out the wild ponies and herds of cattle as you blaze across the countryside, and might even spot some wild deer.

You’ll start the day with some tasty bacon and egg sandwiches, ready for a tough adventure day ahead. You’ll meet your horse and groom and tack them up, before heading out for a riding lesson. Lunch is provided and is a Western-themed chicken n’ steak barbeque. Visitors of all riding ability are welcome, and you’re advised to allow a full day for the experience.

Your day will begin with bacon sandwiches and a lesson on grooming and tacking up.
A riding lesson will follow before stopping for a BBQ lunch.
During the afternoon you will enjoy a ride through the New Forest.
After your hack out you will then spend time rubbing down your horse.
This experience will last a full day.

Notes and Restrictions

Voucher valid for 9 months.
Available on selected dates through the year.
Minimum age is 12 years.
Maximum Weight is 15 stone.
Not suitable during pregnancy. Also not suitable if you have certain disabilities and medical conditions.
No spectators but family can meet you for the BBQ.
Boots with a heel of 2cm - 4cm and trousers must be worn. Your shoulders must also be covered.
The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary.
