Carriage Driving Experience (half day) - £89

A wonderful day of carriage riding in the countryside where you will learn the skills required to drive the carriage yourself from a qualified instructor.

 

What Your Experience Includes
This is a great alternative horse riding experience that won’t leave you saddle-sore! Your day of carriage riding begins with an introduction to driving with an expert and friendly instructor, who will then teach you the traditional techniques of harnessing up a horse-drawn carriage. Following driving instructions and a demonstration from your instructor, you will take up the reins yourself. You will find it is very easy to drive a horse drawn carriage and you will quickly be merrily riding along quiet country lanes under the guidance of your instructor. A pony or horse will be selected specially for you from the large stables, ensuring you enjoy your first go at carriage driving. The horse-drawn carriage riding experience includes a tour of the historic private carriage collection, plus tea and coffee.

Group Size: There will be a up to of three other people in your group.

How long does it last ?
Your carriage experience will last for about 3 hours.

Restrictions
Participants need to be reasonably agile to climb on and off the carriage. This activity is unsuitable for wheelchair users. Please advise the supplier if you have any other disabilities.
Minimum age to participate in this activity is 12 years old.
You don't need any experience to enjoy this activity.

Availability
This great experience is available on selected dates between March - October.

How far ahead should I book ?
We advise planning 3-4 weeks in advance. However, availability varies through the year depending on demand.

Are spectators allowed ?
Sorry, you can't bring family and friends along to watch you do this activity.
