Following an initial briefing, you'll take part in your first sail as you learn to control your land yacht at low speed and practice stopping. Once these techniques have been mastered, you’ll move on to a figure of eight course where you will learn safe, controlled turns. If at this level you demonstrate good control of the land yacht, you will be taught a gybe turn, which is a more challenging manoeuvre but still excellent fun!

Group Size: There'll be a maximum of five other participants in your group.

The total experience lasts approximately 3 hours.

Reasonable agility is required to get into the land yacht, therefore if you have any disabilities please discuss these with the centre prior to booking.
The maximum weight is approximately 16 stone (102kg) but this is dependent on build, so if you are over the limit please discuss this with the school. You must be over 16 years old to take part.
No experience or qualifications are required.

Throughout the year on selected Saturday and Sunday dates (excluding July & August).

We advise planning 3-4 weeks in advance. However, availability varies through the year depending on demand.

You are welcome to bring along family and friends to watch you do this activity.

You will receive a presentation voucher pack containing a voucher (valid for 9 months from date of purchase), background reading on the Land Yachting and details of how to book a date.

Public Liability insurance for £10m is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance for up to £50,000. Details are enclosed within the voucher pack.
