Land Yachting - Full Day - £119

A combination of sailing and motor racing, no wonder Land Yachting is such a popular sport! During this full day experience you will learn to master this exciting and fun pastime, travelling over the sand at speeds of up to 40mph!

 

What Your Experience Includes
After an initial briefing you'll experience your first sail at low speed and your expert instructor will show you how to stop your land yacht Then you progress to a figure of eight course learning safe, controlled turns. Once you get the hang of things, you'll have the opportunity to learn more difficult manoeuvres like a "gybe turn". Later in the session land yachts may be sailed on a larger circuit as you experience performance sailing and racing. This is a fun and exciting activity - a must for all speed demons!

Group Size: There will be a maximum of 19 others in your group.

How long does it last ?
This is a full day's activity.

Restrictions
Reasonable agility is required to get into the craft, so if you have any concerns please discuss them with the centre. The maximum weight is approximately 102kg (16 stone) but this is dependent on build, so please discuss this with the centre.
You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this activity.
No previous land yachting experience is necessary.

Availability
Limited selected Saturday and Sunday dates, all year.

How far ahead should I book ?
We advise planning 3-4 weeks in advance. However, availability varies through the year depending on demand.

Are spectators allowed ?
Sorry, you can't bring along family and friends to watch you do this activity.

Public Liability insurance for £10m is included, along with Personal Accident Insurance for up to £50,000. Details are enclosed within the voucher pack.
