Enjoy a half hour flying lesson in a Robinson R44 helicopter, you can even bring along a guest to go up in the air with you! An amazing experience that's available at a wide selection of UK venues.
Take your first steps into the world of the 'chopper’ with this great hour-long taster and enjoy 30 minutes controlling the helicopter alongside a qualified instructor after a 30-minute introduction and safety briefing.
This helicopter flying lesson takes place in a 4 seater Robinson 44 dual control training helicopter. During your pre-flight briefing you'll learn the controls and dials, then the pilot will fire up the helicopter and fly you to an altitude of approximately 1,500ft where you'll have your first chance to take the controls and discover the effect of each one on the helicopter's flight.
Then you'll return to the airfield where your pilot will demonstrate the incredible abilities of these fascinating flying machines as low as 30 feet from the ground and hand you the controls again to try your hand at hovering and turning the helicopter.
With a couple of seats to spare you can also bring along one passenger for the ride. While weight limits still apply, with at least one spare seat available these larger aircraft are capable of accommodating anyone who may slightly exceed the limits for the smaller 2 seater helicopters. I don't have to decide at booking what day the activity will take place, do I? How much notice is required when you have your voucher and would like to book the days activity?
You do not choose your date or location at the time of purchase, this will all be arranged once you receive your voucher through the post. They like you to give between 2 and 4 weeks notice to book your date to reduce the risk of disappointment.
