Helicopter Tasters (20 mins)

For anyone looking to make a helicopter fans dreams come true then a taster lesson will really give them a good insight into what their favourite aircrafts can do.

Flying a helicopter is something that most people only dream of doing or have just watched on the television, however, with the help of an amazing experience day, you can actually make this dream a reality and get behind the controls of one of these amazing machines for a day of adrenaline filled fun.

These 20 minute Helicopter Lesson Experiences give you the chance to actually take the controls of a real helicopter without having to have any prior flying experience. You will be accompanied by a qualified instructor for the entire time and only given the controls when you feel completely comfortable. You will learn how to perform a number of unbelievable manoeuvres including climbs, turns and descents. By the end of the day you will start to feel like a real helicopter pilot.

Upon arrival at the helipad, you will be given a full safety briefing to guarantee your safety throughout the day and ensure that you get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of your 20-minute flight. Then you and your instructor will take to the skies for a flying experience that you will not be able to forget in a hurry.

Enjoy a 20 minute helicopter flying lesson at airfields across the UK. Take the controls and learn skills such as hovering 30 foot above the ground in a Robinson R22!

Voucher valid for 9 months.
Kick start your lesson with a briefing on what to expect when in the air.
Learn how a helicopter flies and what effect the controls have.
Once in the air, the controls will be passed over to you.
Enjoy a 20 minute lesson.
On return to the airfield you will practice some low level hovering.
You'll receive a certificate after your lesson.

Notes & Restrictions

Voucher valid for 9 months for one person.
This experience also includes public liability insurance.
Adverse weather conditions may result in this experience being cancelled at short notice.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be turned away from the venue.
Flights from Goodwood are only held on the first Sunday of each month.

Maximim weight 17 stone and maximum height 6'2".
Minimum age is 12 years old.
You will be unable to do this experience if you suffer from epilepsy, haemophilia or any illness that may make it dangerous to fly a helicopter.

Helicopter Pilot Experience - £139

Find out what life is like when you're a helicopter pilot, is it all fun and games in the air? During this 4 hours experience not only will you be able to interrogate a real life pilot you'll also have the chance to take his seat and attempt to fly a helicopter.

An exciting day learning all about helicopters.
You day will begin at the airfield at 9 am.
You will receive refreshments on arrival followed by a safety talk.
Your CAA Helicopter Instructor will give you a talk about his life as a pilot.
Learn about the different career options open to helicopter pilots.
Take part in a one to one, 20 minute flying lesson.
Take the controls and learn to hover.
Enjoy a guided tour around the hangars.
A buffet lunch is also included.
Your experience will last around 4 hours.

Available weekdays and Saturdays through the year.

A valid passport or driving licence must be shown on the day.
There will be up to 8 people with you during the tour.
