We brought my 15 yr old son the first drive experience for his birthday. He had a great day and his instructor Dave was very friendly and had a great sense of humour which made the boys in his group at ease. As we watched it made us smile as the 3 boys had big grins on their faces!! My only very small complaint is that we left Oxford at 6.30am and we were looking forward to breakfast but nothing was open at Rockingham racing circuit. But that never stopped a great day - THANKYOU

This first gliding experience offers the chance to take the controls and fly the glider yourself amongst the clouds, with a qualified instructor as your co-pilot.
Enjoy an experience up in the sky that has seen its popularity rocket just because of the simplicity of the activity. As you look down from such great heights, there’s no engine noise to distract or disrupt; it’s just pure bliss and tranquil enjoyment.
With this experience you will control and fly the glider yourself. Amongst the clouds you’re in control, while your co-pilot (a qualified instructor) sits back and enjoys the ride; chipping in advice and help when needed.
In this unique session you will be amongst the clouds in peace, surveying the ground below and the horizon ahead. Despite the lack of power, this lightweight plane is incredibly fast and agile, making it as graceful in flight as a feather in the breeze.
The glider is dual-controlled and before take-off, you will receive a flight and safety briefing. The glider is towed by a powered aircraft or winch up to 2000ft high before being released. The instructor will then demonstrate the controls before offering them up to you.
Depending on flying conditions, this lesson lasts between 15 and 30 minutes and, due to varying weather, the flight length isn’t exact because safety is considered a priority and flights can be ended abruptly.

"So relaxing with amazing views" My darling wife treated me to this great experience and I can't speak highly enough about it. Although airplanes are great, they can be so noisy, whereas the glider is near silent making the whole flying experience so tranquil and even more special. I loved being in control of the aircraft and listened to the great advice and guidance from my co-pilot. There's something truly spectacular about gliding between the clouds, you simply have to experience it for yourself to really know what I mean. A very special day and a top notch experience.
