Soaring and circle on the thermal draughts as you glide silently above the earth on a dual control glider. After an introductory briefing from your expert British Gliding Association instructor, take to the skies for an unforgettable flight. You'll take over the controls from your instructor during your gliding session and this first gliding lesson counts towards a Glider Pilot's certificate. You will need to complete a membership application form on arrival. Under 18’s require parental or guardian’s consent on this form. Remember to take your voucher on the day as it is your form of payment for your gliding lesson. You will be briefed by your gliding instructor before the flight. Most gliding clubs are owned and run by their members, so your gliding introduction often includes helping out with various tasks associated with gliding. You may be asked to keep the flight log or prepare the gliders for launch while awaiting your turn to fly. Gliding is very much a sociable sport and it’s a real team effort.
