Gliding Half Day Mini Course - £145

Soar on thermals across the stunning English landscape with this gliding lesson.

 

What does the activity include ?
In these gliding sessions you will fly to between 1000 and 1500 feet above the ground following a winch launch, during which time you will learn basic and more advanced manoeuvres as the beautiful English countryside rolls beneath you. Each gliding lesson lasts between 5 and 20 minutes depending on conditions, and after four lessons you’ll feel confident as you soar through the open skies.

Participants will fly with a fully qualified instructor as co-pilot in a dual controlled glider. Depending on weather conditions, air time is between 5 to 20 minutes per flight. On arrival you will be briefed on the glider and safety then take to the skies for your experience! Your gliding lessons voucher also entitles you to 90 days membership of the gliding club so you can return and fly at special rates during that period.

What else do I need to know ?
Customers purchasing this activity will be issued with an open dated gift voucher valid for ten months. Flights are only available on weekdays and it is necessary to book in advance to confirm a mutually convenient date and time. As this experience is weather dependent, it is important to call on the morning of the flight before leaving for the Gliding Club to ensure conditions are suitable for flying. The maximum height 6ft 2" and maximum weight is 15st. The minimum age for participants is 13 years, with participants aged 13 to 18 being accompanied by an adult on the day. Please note that all four flights must be taken on the same day.
