Gliding Full Day Course - £260

Fly through the skies above the Surrey landscape with a full day gliding lesson.

 

What does the activity include ?
Ascend to a gliding height of between 1000 to 1,500 feet after an exhilarating winch launch. You will learn basic and advanced manoeuvres in this day long course, which includes a total of 8 flights! Each gliding lesson lasts between 5 and 20 minutes depending on conditions, and after 8 lessons you're sure to be a confident glider. A flying experience to never forget!

On arrival at the gliding club you will be briefed on the glider and safety then take to the skies! You will then get to fly in a dual controlled glider with a fully qualified instructor as your co-pilot. Air time is between 5 to 20 minutes per flight depending on the weather conditions. Your gliding lessons voucher also entitles you to 90 days membership of the gliding club so you can return and fly at special rates during the 90 days.

What else do I need to know ?
Customers purchasing this activity will be sent an open dated gift voucher valid for ten months. Flights are available on weekdays only and it is essential to book in advance to confirm a mutually convenient date and time. As this experience is weather dependent, it is necessary to phone on the morning of the flight before leaving for the Gliding Club to ensure the weather is suitable for flying. The maximum height is 6ft 2" and the maximum weight 15st. The minimum age for participants is 13 years, with those aged from 13 to 18 having parental permission in order to take part. Please note that all 8 flights must be taken on the same day.
