One Day Basic Wine Course - £105

This is fun afternoon where you will get to taste and enjoy a fine selection of wines at the Marlborough Hotel in London. This beginners course requires no previous knowledge and you’ll get to experience and discuss the wines in an open and relaxed environment. Gain confidence and choose the wines you enjoy on this fantastic wine tasting course!

 

What Your Experience Includes
There is a strong emphasis on discussion and participation in this wonderful, relaxed and sociable wine tasting experience. You will taste and enjoy a selection of good quality wines currently available on the market. You will learn about the grapes, varieties, appellations and regions and all required materials will be provided. No previous wine knowledge is required and you will build confidence in understanding and appreciating the fantastic variety of wine the world has to offer. It will be a lot of fun and you’ll have a far more experienced palate by the end!

You’ll receive a welcome and be introduced to the rest of the wine tasting group. The morning is partly theoretical, covering how wine is made and the different styles of wine. You will then move on to the practical aspect, tasting and discussing seven individual high quality wines. After breaking for lunch you will taste a further seven delicious wines, discussing each and re-tasting them with small samples of selected foods. You will learn how to spot faults in wine, how to store and serve your wine and how to choose your wine in a restaurant or shop. Cheers!

• This experience is available on Saturdays only.
• There will be no courses running during the Christmas period and availability may be restricted in July and August.
• Lunch is not included in the experience but can be purchased directly from the hotel.
• Accompanying spectators are not allowed on this experience.
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to venue.
