One Day Wine Tasting Courses

If wine is your tipple then why not learn a bit more about it? With one day courses for both the beginner and advanced connoisseur you will certainly find a course best suited to you.

These full day wine tasting courses will last for around five hours and will cover everything you need to know when sampling wine. Each course will be tailored to your level and so no need to worry about not understanding the termonology if you're a beginner or having the basics repeated to you if you're at a more advanced level.

With a wide selection of wines for you to sample throughout the day, your tutor will talk you through various techniques needed for wine tasting and what to look for when choosing your wine in a restaurant. Enjoy matching food and wine and making notes on which wines best suit each course at a dinner party.

One Day Basic Wine Course - £105

Learn about wine tasting, how to choose a good wine in a restaurant and how to store and serve good wine, as well as drink it!

Voucher valid for 9 months.
Spend your morning discussing the differences between various wines and learning the techniques needed when tasting them.
Sample 14 different wines throughout the day.
Your afternoon will be spent sampling wines and matching them with food.
This session will last 5 hours.

Minimum age - 18 years.
Available Saturdays only.
Courses do not run over the Christmas period (mid-December to January).
Dates may be restricted during July and August .
Lunch is not included but can be purchased from the hotel.
No spectators.

One Day Advanced Wine Course - £109

The ideal course for a wine enthusiast who would like to build on their knowledge in a relaxed environment.

Advanced wine tasting course suited to those with previous tasting experience.
Your class will look at detail at all of the major wine producing regions around the world.
Enjoy learning about the foods which best match certain wines and sampling both food and wine.
The course runs from 11am to 5pm and includes tasting around 14 wines.

Voucher valid for 10 months.
Min age - 18 years.
Please book at least 2 weeks in advance.
A 45 minute lunch break is included but lunch is not part of this package.
Available selected Saturdays year round (apart from July and August).
You do not need to have been on the beginners' course before this one, but a certain amount of knowledge is required.
