Falconry has been taught for centuries and passed down the generations. Now you can learn how to fly magnificent birds of prey to the fist and interact with these beautiful creatures yourself. This half day birds of prey course will teach you how to fly the stunning birds of prey with experienced falconers to assist you. These birds of prey are not trained to do tricks so you’ll be seeing them do what they do naturally, showing their refined instincts to soar and quarter, mantle and pounce! This is a truly unforgettable experience in the company of some stunning creatures.
Your birds of prey day begins with an tour of the falconry centre, seeing the variety of birds up close and learn all about their different hunting habits, speed capabilities and other characteristics. You will then get the chance to fly some of these wonderful creatures to the fist under your trainer’s watchful eye. There are plenty of photo opportunities with the birds to capture this amazing experience. All equipment will be provided for your birds of prey experience, but we advise customers to bring Wellington boots and wear outdoor clothing suitable for the time of year. You will be at the falconry centre for around 2-3 hours in total.
