Take to the skies in the airborne equivalent of an F1 racer, the Extra 300. You’ll gain hands-on aerobatic flight experience as you pull spins and loops and tail chase another plane in this session of mid-air fun!

 

What Your Experience Includes
Ultimate Top Gun (Weekends):This heart-stopping session of aerobatic manoeuvres takes place in the cockpit of an Extra 300, an ultra lightweight hi-tech display aircraft with a 300bhp Lycoming engine. Take the controls and fly head to head with your opponent as you pilot the 300, using aerobatic stunts and tail chasing manoeuvres. If that isn't enough, you’ll also play a game of mid-air Shoot The Bandit at high speed!

You are welcomed at the airfield, offered refreshments and kitted out in Top Gun pilot attire. A pre-flight briefing is provided before the two teams are assembled for a practice session of basic flying, aerobatic manoeuvres and tail chasing. Then take the controls of the super-fast Extra 300, fly basic aerobatics and tail chase another plane with special smoke and gun effects. A formation loop precedes landing at base for a debriefing, with memories that will last you a lifetime!

How long does it last ?
The flight lasts approximately 40 minutes. You should expect to be at the venue for around 3 to 4 hours.

Restrictions
The minimum age for participants is 12 years old, the maximum weight is 15st 7lbs, minimum height 5ft, maximum height 6ft 4". Participants are required to complete a medical form prior to flying and those aged over 55 must provide a letter from their doctor confirming suitability to fly.

Other Information
Customers purchasing this activity will be issued with a voucher valid for nine months. Flights operate from March to October inclusive. As flying activities rely on the weather, please telephone the flying centre prior setting off to check that your experience can still go ahead on that day. Please note that this activity only takes place on Saturdays.
