If you love your big cats, then these once in a lifetime experiences are just for you. Get up close and personal with different big cats such as Tigers, Lions and Leopards. Some of our big cat encounters also give you the chance to feed them too!

Ever wanted the chance to get up close and personal with the big cats? Well these experiences will give you the chance to get aquainted with various big cats from Lions and Tigers to Leopards and more!

There are many fascinating creatures within the animal kingdom, but there are none more so than the big cats. These enormous beasts are right at the top of the food chain and when you are in a close proximity to them you really begin to understand why.

These brilliant experiences are guaranteed to give you a wild day out whether you are hand feeding these creatures or spending time around their enclosures whilst shadowing a zoo keeper. Most experiences have a minimum age of 16 and some are 18, so consider this when choosing.

Tiger Brunch - £59

If you love the majestic quality of these magnificent cats this experience could be for you! Enjoy a tour and a delicious brunch overlooking the park.

Learn all about the parks Big Cats.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Big Cat Territory enclosure.

Tea with the Tigers - £59

Spend time learning more about some of the worlds best loved big cats including Snow Leopards, Tigers, Cheetahs, Lions, White Lions and Jaguars. After this fascinating tour you can then relax with a delightful afternoon tea.

Spend time touring around the Big Cats area with an experienced guide.
Listen as your guide talks you through the different species of cats at the part and enjoy learning more about their personalities.
Learn about the parks conservation work for big cats overseas.
You will have amazing photo opportunites when on the Cat Walk which overlooks the enclosures.
Your tour will end with a tasty afternoon tea at the Tiger Treetops Café.

Q. I am interested in this experience but would like to know what time it starts? Also how often does it run?

A. Breakfast with the Big Cats experience starts at 8.15am and lasts a few hours with the rest of the day free for you to wander around the rest of the park. They run most days but not every day, as a guide I would say 5 out of 7 days a week.

Feed The Big Cats By Hand (Weekdays) - £199

If you love your big cats, then this once in a lifetime feeding experience is just for you!

Get up close to some amazing big cats.
Feed them from outside the enclosure.
Guidance from and experienced keeper.
Commemorative certification.

Feeding times are at 1.30pm and 3pm.
Participants must be at the big cat enclosure 30 minutes prior to the start of their experience.

Spectators are welcome and will be required to pay £14 admission at the entrance.
Participants must check with their doctor that they are up to date with their tetanus inoculations.
Groups are not allowed as this is a one to one experience.

Big Cat Encounter (Weekdays) - £199

Get up close and personal with some amazing creatures with this big cat encounter, allowing you to meet and also hand feed these beasts this is an experience you will never forget.

Be a big cat keeper for the day.
Learn about the big cats and how they are cared for.
You will get to hand feed one of the big cats!
Full guided tour of the Wildlife Heritage Centre which isn't normally open to the public.
The encounter will last about two and a half hours.

Big Cat Keeper (Weekend) Special Offer - £263

Send time in the presence of these ferocious creatures. A perfect gift for anyone with a dream of getting up close and personal with one of their favourite big cats.

Your day will run from 9 am to 2 pm.
You will clean out the cats enclosure, help with maintenance and prepare their food as well as other duties.
Lunch will be at one of the on-site facilities.
You will then get to feed the cats through the bars of their cage.
You are free to spend the rest of your afternoon exploring the park.

Shadow a Big Cat Keeper at Dartmoor Zoo - £399

With a variety of big cats including lions, tigers and jaguars all hungry and waiting for their food, you'll be kept busy throughout your day; there's nothing more demanding than a hungry carnivore!

Beginning at 8 am you will spend 2 hours following a keeper as they carry out their checks on the big cats.
After a short break you'll then spend an hour visiting the bears and wolves.
It'll then be time to prepare the meat for the cats.
After this it's time for a spot lunch yourself.
Once you've been fed, you'll have the pleasure of feeding the big cats by hand!
Your day will be finished with photos at around 2:30 pm.
