Big Cat Encounter - £184

Get up close to some big cats, and have the opportunity to feed one yourself.

 

What does the activity include ?
By joining the staff looking after the magificant big cats at this Kent breeding centre, you'll really have the chance to get close to these beautiful animals! As the centre is not open to the general public, this experience provides a rare opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes. Although they are held safely in enclosures during the experience they'll only be millimetres away - and you will even have the chance to hand-feed a big cat yourself! Participants will also enjoy a guided tour of the site with the opportunity to chat with the friendly and knowledgeable team at the centre.

The experience will begin with a safety briefing, an important session when you are about to get close to some of the world's top predators! This will be followed by a short presentation to inform you of the work carried out by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation, both overseas and in the UK. You will then be guided around the facility before moving on to the highlight of the day – hand-feeding one of the magnificent cats, an unforgettable experience! The encounter will last for approximately 2.5 hours. There will be an opportunity to take some photo mementos as well.

What else do I need to know ?
Customers purchasing this experience will receive a voucher for one person valid for 10 months; they may then contact the supplier to book a suitable date for the activity. Participants may bring up to 4 guests for a minimum donation of £15 per person. As this is an outside experience and you will be working with animals, the program will vary with the season and time of day. Sessions take place in the morning, afternoon and early evening from May to September, and daytime only during the rest of the year. The experience usually runs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, although weekday sessions may be made available if there is a high demand. Sessions are limited and subject to pre–booking and availability. Please consult the supplier before booking should you have special access requirements.
