Learn how to make tasty cookies in this children’s 2-hour cookery class full of fun learning and loads of hands on cookery. The children each make their own cookies and get to take home what they have made.

After a warm welcome the children say goodbye to their parents before washing their hands, putting their aprons on and stepping into the kitchen. An introduction to cookie dough and other tasty ingredients is first. There will also be a general chat about cookery and kitchen safety. Then the children will be guided through making the cookie recipes until the cookies are ready to go in the oven (oven work is handled by the instructors). All cookies will be carefully labelled so there is no confusion. Then it’s time to wash the bowls and utensils and have refreshments. Once the delicious cookies your child has created are ready they are packaged up for home-time, to impress family and friends. All children are presented with a cook’s certificate.

• Most workshops take place during school holidays. As a guide classes run from10.30-12.30 or 2-4pm. All bookings are subject to availability.

• Any details of medical illnesses or conditions must be provided before a booking can be confirmed.
• Minimum age for the Junior Cookie Making Workshop is 5 years and the maximum age is 11 years.
