This specially designed children’s 2-hour cookery class is packed with fun, is very educational and includes loads of hands on cookery. The children each make their own creation and get to take home what they have made.

After a warm welcome on arrival the children say goodbye to their parents before washing their hands, getting their aprons on and entering the kitchen. An introduction to what they are going to make in the kitchen and a general chat about cookery is first. Then the children will be guided through making the recipe until the food is ready to go in the oven (hob and oven work is handled by the instructors). All food is be carefully labelled so there is no confusion. Then it’s time to wash the dishes and utensils and have some refreshments. Once the delicious culinary creations are ready they are packaged up for home-time, so the food can be served for dinner at home! All children will be presented with a cook’s certificate.

• Most cookery workshops take place during school holidays. As a guide the classes run from 10.30-12.30 or 2-4pm. All dates are subject to availability.
• Please allow approximately 2 hours for the experience.
• Most allergies and conditions can be accommodated however these must be mentioned at the time of booking.
• Any details of medical conditions or illnesses should be provided before a booking can be confirmed.
• Minimum age for Junior Cooks is 11 years and maximum age is 16 years.
